The construction of the Delta Dam, put in place for
the new Barge Canal, made building a new aqueduct and locks to bypass it
necessary. The top image shows the aqueduct and locks as completed
in 1910. The bottom image shows the scene today. Trees have
enveloped the old flight of three locks, but the aqueduct is still visible
but used primarily as a biking trail across the Black River.
